Modernization of 1920's School Building
KCBA was commissioned for a master plan and subsequently retained to provide architectural services for a renovation project at this Orthodox Jewish Day School that serves students from pre-school to 8th grade. The existing two-story, 50,000 sq. ft., 1920’s era building is outdated and no longer meets the school’s educational and operational needs. The project will add much needed space, enhance security equipment and protocols, modernize building systems, increase technology and flexibility in educational spaces, add a new signature element to the building exterior, and generally refresh and brighten the interior environment. The scope of the project includes a new secure vestibule and lobby, new library space, upgraded classrooms and science labs, revitalized gymnasium, and a new Beit Midrash worship space.
