This project encompasses a sweeping renovation and expansion of this elementary school to modernize systems, enhance security, increase student capacity, add new program areas, and improve site circulation. In addition to classrooms, the 34,000 sq. ft. three-story addition will include a combined gym/auditorium with stage, an art suite, and a series of small group instruction areas. Currently housing grades 1-5, the new configuration will allow the introduction of kindergarten into the school. Significant site work will yield increased stormwater management controls and dedicated loops for car and bus traffic. The aesthetic of the addition was carefully developed to complement the architectural character of the existing building and surrounding residential neighborhood.
