The renovation of this senior living community was highlighted by the conversion of an assisted living wing to memory support. Former residential rooms were converted into dining and activity areas. New spaces were carefully configured to reduce traditionally long and monotonous corridors. Other features that reflect the latest thinking in memory support were also infused such as memory boxes, leaning rails, and sensitivity to color and lighting schemes. New mechanical systems were installed to support new spaces. Lastly, the project was carefully phased as areas under construction were occupied at all times.
