KCBA planned and designed this new 30,000 sq. ft. medical/dental clinic and employee training center on the campus of this organization that serves children and adults with special needs. The medical suite includes exam rooms, offices, and support spaces for three specialties – primary care, neurology, and ophthalmology. The dental clinic features three treatment bays including one with sound isolation, an x-ray lab, and offices. The training component contains a large multi-purpose conference room and three classrooms. A number of sustainable strategies were integrated into the project such as site stormwater management via infiltration beds, high efficiency lighting, renewable materials such as cork wood flooring, and a geothermal mechanical system.
