KCBA maintains a diverse and experienced staff of professionals. Through in-house capabilities in facility analysis and master planning, architectural design, sustainable design, campus security consulting, structural engineering, and interior design, we have produced hundreds of successful projects of wide-ranging type, size, scope, and complexity.

Our objective in every project is to work with our partner to develop a facility that meets their functional, spatial, and programmatic needs; expresses their unique character; and achieves their budgetary goals. We accomplish this by maintaining a flexible and responsive approach to service, searching for opportunities to instill innovation and sustainability in design, and fostering a collaborative and supportive work environment.

KCBA Architects was founded in 1972 as Diseroad and Wolff Architects by two partners, Fred Diseroad and Wally Wolff, who had been longtime colleagues at a national architectural practice. Operating out of a converted residence in Lansdale, PA, the two were soon joined by employees three, four, and five – Jay Clough, Les Bucher, and Bob Kelly. Together, these five nurtured the practice until 1978 when operations were expanded and relocated into a renovated historic bank building in Hatfield, PA.

An ownership transition occurred in 1989 as Jay, Les, and Bob joined Fred and Wally as principals and the firm became known as DWKCB (Diseroad Wolff Kelly Clough and Bucher) Architects. The name change to KCBA (Kelly Clough Bucher and Associates) Architects occurred in 2006 to reflect Wally Wolff’s retirement and Fred Diseroad’s transition to a part time schedule.

A second ownership transition occurred in 2013 with the elevation of Eric Gianelle and Mike Kelly to principals along with Jay Clough and Les Bucher. Then in 2017, Les Bucher retired from professional practice.

In 2020, a second fully staffed office was opened in the Lehigh Valley.
